What is Breathwork?

Transformational Breathwork is a healing modality that harnesses the power of your own breath to bring you deep relaxation. It is a space to go within and discover your inner world. This three part breathing technique was derived from pranayama breathing or yoga breathing. It is an active meditation where your mind focuses on the breath so your body and spirit can receive powerful healing. It’s benefits are wide reaching.

PRIVATE: ONE-ON-ONE

I offer one-on-one, one hour,in person sessions in my home studio space.

VIRTUAL SESSIONS

I also offer virtual sessions to those out of city and state.

GROUP SESSIONS & EVENTS

Group sessions of two or more are offered as well. These events will be in my outdoor space and only when weather permits.

FAQs

What does a typical session look like?

Each session is an hour long. The first 15 mins we check in and set intentions for the session. Then we move into active breath for 25 mins. To end, there is 5 mins of rest/ regular breathing. We finish by using the remaining 15 mins to ground, integrate and share.

What do you suggest for after-care?

I always suggest that my clients try to take it easy after a session. If life permits, spending some time alone to reflect and enjoy the relaxation. Journaling anything that comes to you and sharing your thoughts and experiences helps to integrate your session. Be kind to yourself. You may be feeling open, aware and more sensitive. Drinking plenty of water and having a healthy meal is a great way to end the day.

What are some sensations I might feel during my session?

You may feel changes in body temperature. Some experience tingling, vibrations and sensitive skin. You may have cramping in the hands or feet, jaw, throat and neck. Crying, laughing and a range of emotions and sounds may occur.

I started my breathwork journey 10 years ago. It was introduced to me and it was the deep healing I had been looking for. Having been in traditional therapy for the greater part of my life, I was seeking a way to move the old energy out of my body and not just talk about it. Breathwork gave me a space to sit with what was within me and was a safe, intentional way to express and release it. I was so inspired by the great healing breathwork brought me that I needed to share it. I studied the practice and became a certified breathwork facilitator. I am honored to share this powerful healing modality and to empower us to bring great healing to ourselves through the breath.
